WWE announced their Wrestlemania 24 PPV Buyrate (aka how many fans ordered the PPV) and they did about 1,058,000 buys, making them a revenue of $23.8 million. Interestingly last year's extravaganza did better with 1.2 million buys and $24.6 million in revenue.

It must be noted that this year's Wrestlemania used an experimental average price of $54.95, in hope that enough people would still purchase the event at the higher price to make a higher return. That was not the case, so WWE is likely to go back to the $49.95 region next year.

It could also be that Donald Trump was more of a draw than Floyd Mayweather.
